Retirement Roadmap Academy Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Retirement Roadmap Academy ("Academy"), which is owned and operated by Carroll Media, LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By purchasing a membership, accessing the Academy, or using any Academy content, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Educational Purpose Only

Retirement Roadmap Academy is an educational platform designed to help individuals learn about retirement planning and build their own retirement plans.

All content provided through the Academy, including courses, videos, worksheets, software demonstrations, community discussions, webinars, Q&A sessions, downloads, articles, calculators, and other resources, is intended solely for educational and informational purposes.

Nothing contained within the Academy should be construed as personalized financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, accounting advice, insurance advice, or any other professional advice.

You are solely responsible for evaluating information presented within the Academy and determining whether it is appropriate for your personal circumstances.

2. No Advisory Relationship

Membership in Retirement Roadmap Academy does not create an advisor-client relationship, fiduciary relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and Carroll Media, LLC, Carroll Advisory Group, LLC, Devin Carroll, or any employees, contractors, representatives, or affiliates.

Participation in community discussions, comments, live Q&A sessions, webinars, email communications, support interactions, or any other Academy activities does not create an advisory relationship.

If you wish to engage Carroll Advisory Group, LLC for advisory services, a separate written agreement must be executed and accepted by both parties.

3. Membership Benefits

Membership may include access to educational courses, planning tools, software, community discussions, live events, Q&A sessions, downloadable resources, and other educational materials.

The Company reserves the right to add, remove, modify, replace, suspend, or discontinue any membership feature, benefit, software platform, course, event, or resource at any time.

No guarantee is made regarding the availability of any specific feature or benefit.

4. Membership Fees and Billing

Membership fees are billed according to the membership plan selected during enrollment.

By purchasing a membership, you authorize the Company and its payment processors to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until your membership is canceled.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate and current payment information.

If a payment cannot be processed, the Company may suspend or terminate access until payment issues are resolved.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time.

Upon cancellation, your membership will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.

All membership fees are non-refundable.

No refunds, credits, prorated refunds, or partial refunds will be provided for unused portions of membership periods, missed events, unused software access, or failure to utilize membership benefits.

6. Community Guidelines

Members are expected to participate respectfully and professionally.

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate other members
  • Post offensive, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content
  • Spam, solicit, or promote unrelated products or services
  • Share confidential or personal information of others without permission
  • Disrupt Academy activities or community discussions
  • Use the Academy for illegal purposes

The Company reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether conduct violates these guidelines.

7. Intellectual Property

All Academy content is owned by or licensed to Carroll Media, LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Courses
  • Videos
  • Audio recordings
  • Worksheets
  • Templates
  • Downloads
  • Presentations
  • Graphics
  • Community content created by the Company
  • Written materials
  • Software training materials

Your membership grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use only.

You may not:

  • Share login credentials
  • Reproduce Academy content
  • Record, copy, or distribute Academy materials
  • Upload Academy materials to public or private websites
  • Sell, sublicense, or transfer Academy content
  • Create derivative products based on Academy content
  • Use Academy materials for commercial purposes

8. Software and Third-Party Services

The Academy may provide access to third-party software, platforms, tools, services, or resources.

The Company does not control third-party providers and makes no guarantees regarding their availability, performance, security, functionality, or continued operation.

Access to third-party software or services may be modified, restricted, replaced, or discontinued at any time.

Upon termination of membership, access to software and related services may be removed without notice.

The Company is not responsible for any data loss, service interruptions, or changes made by third-party providers.

9. Suspension and Termination

The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership access at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Violation of community guidelines
  • Unauthorized sharing of Academy content
  • Misuse of membership benefits
  • Fraudulent activity
  • Conduct deemed harmful to the Academy, its members, or its business operations

Termination may occur without prior notice and without refund.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Academy and all associated services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

The Company makes no warranties or representations regarding:

  • Accuracy of information
  • Availability of services
  • Suitability for any purpose
  • Financial outcomes
  • Investment performance
  • Tax results
  • Retirement outcomes

The Company does not guarantee that participation in the Academy will result in any specific financial, retirement, investment, or personal outcome.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carroll Media, LLC, Carroll Advisory Group, LLC, Devin Carroll, and their respective owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, agents, and representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to:

  • Use of the Academy
  • Reliance on Academy content
  • Membership participation
  • Software access
  • Community interactions
  • Financial decisions made by members

Your use of the Academy is entirely at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Carroll Media, LLC, Carroll Advisory Group, LLC, Devin Carroll, and their respective owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Academy
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of applicable laws
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights

13. Privacy

Your use of the Academy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

14. Changes to These Terms

The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Updated Terms will become effective upon posting to the Academy website. Continued use of the Academy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, your membership, or your use of Retirement Roadmap Academy, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally through good-faith discussions.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its applicable rules. The arbitration shall take place in Bowie County, Texas, unless the parties mutually agree otherwise.

The arbitrator shall have exclusive authority to resolve any dispute relating to the interpretation, applicability, enforceability, or formation of this arbitration provision, including any claim that all or any part of this provision is void or voidable.

Each party shall bear its own attorneys' fees and costs unless otherwise awarded by the arbitrator under applicable law.

Class Action Waiver

You and Carroll Media, LLC agree that any dispute shall be brought solely in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class action, collective action, representative action, or similar proceeding.

The arbitrator shall not have authority to consolidate claims of multiple individuals or to preside over any form of representative or class proceeding.

By agreeing to these Terms, you knowingly and voluntarily waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding against Carroll Media, LLC, Retirement Roadmap Academy, Carroll Advisory Group, LLC, Devin Carroll, or their respective affiliates, owners, employees, contractors, and representatives.

Exceptions

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Carroll Media, LLC may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights, confidential information, or other proprietary interests.

Venue

If any portion of this arbitration provision is determined to be unenforceable, any legal proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bowie County, Texas, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
